The response to our first conference has been outstanding. We are getting interest from top-tier schools in Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Finland, Tunisia, Serbia, Russia, Spain, Albania, and Poland (ok fine, that's us!). I am amazed and humbled at the quality of people that will be assembled here in November. We still have a few spots open, which I will be offering to individuals that bring greater expertise and diversity to the group that have already committed. Thanks for being part of the first LID conference. Your ideas and energy will help set the course for this conference for years to come.

I spent the day at the Warsaw FabLab in some meetings and then just hanging out getting some computer work done. What a cool environment. Looking forward to having the second day of the conference there.
Thanks for all of your personal communications through email. Learning about everyone's background and expertise has generated a few potential table conversations for our upcoming conference. A good one that came up yesterday is learning from the connections between technology integration over the past 20 years and how we are now trying to integrate design into curriculum today. Surely there are some lessons we can take from tech integration and do a better job of integrating design.
